I consider myself a scientist practitioner and value the transfer of knowledge from research to practice and back again. As a clinical psychologist, I enjoy involvement in the field as a clinician, lecturer and researcher. As a strong supporter of high quality care of children, I am delighted to be a part of Dr. Perlman’s lab and contribute to her work in this important field of research. I am especially interested in process factors that contribute to healthy development and positive outcomes for children. I am also interested in the capacity for high quality adult-child interactions to help mitigate the effects of negative early experiences. I very much enjoy the research process from start to finish - formulating research questions, through to data collection and analyses, and beyond to the dissemination of the findings in order to share with other interested colleagues, researchers, educators and clinicians, a new found knowledge and understanding.
